According to the department, a man was swept on a mattress into the Baltic Sea near the village of Pavlovo. When rescuers arrived, they only found the mattress on which the victim was floating away. They are looking for the man himself.
Another man in the area of the Witland art village drowned in the sea while swimming. His body was discovered by municipal rescuers. Also in the afternoon the body of another man was recovered from the water in the area of Pavlovo.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations urged local residents and visitors to the region to avoid swimming in unequipped places, not to go into the water drunk and not to ignore information about rip currents.
