Director Tim Burton gave an interview to Variety. In it, the director said that the success of the Wednesday series inspired him not to retire. After that, he wanted to create a sequel to the cult film Beetlejuice.
The project was filmed in Romania and the experience, according to Burton, turned out to be a “health camp.” The director noted: “It reinforced to me that it’s important to do what I want.”
Wednesday’s sequel will appear on the Netflix streaming service in 2025. The exact release date is still unknown. And “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” will be released in theaters in the fall: the premiere is scheduled for September 4.
