“Zelensky and I had a very good telephone conversation today,” he wrote on the social network Truth Social.
According to the former head of the White House, during the conversation Zelensky condemned the attempt on his life in Pennsylvania and congratulated him on his nomination as a candidate for the US presidency.
Trump also reiterated that if he wins the November election, he will “bring peace and end war.”
“Both sides will be able to meet and reach an agreement that will end the violence and pave the way for prosperity,” the politician told RIA Novosti.
Recall that Trump has previously repeatedly promised to resolve the conflict in Ukraine within 24 hours, but has not provided details of his plan. In kyiv, for its part, they have noted that they are afraid of such promises.
As Zelensky said the day before, Ukraine is ready to “work hard” if Trump is re-elected as US president. In his opinion, American politicians do not fully understand the situation in the country.
