Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Anna Tsivileva has checked the methods of conducting physiotherapy classes at the rehabilitation center of a branch of the AA Vishnevsky hospital in Moscow, where wounded soldiers of the Northern Military District are recuperated.

“A completely new building is currently under construction – this is a diagnostic rehabilitation department, which will be put into operation in December this year. That is, there are only a few months left for the builders to complete, equip and put it into operation. Diagnostics will be carried out here, MRI, X-ray and other diagnostic equipment will be installed. In addition, rehabilitation will be carried out. And there is also a swimming pool, a gym and a health centre, physiotherapy and comfortable rooms for two people,” said Anna Tsivileva after visiting the hospital.

The deputy minister added that the new building is designed to be comfortable for people with disabilities: it is a closed passage so that in winter people in rehabilitation, with prostheses and in wheelchairs can move freely between the buildings.

“It is necessary to expand the bed capacity, and there will be 100 beds here, so it seems to me that it will be a really good tool for carrying out comprehensive rehabilitation of our military personnel as efficiently and efficiently as possible,” Tsivileva stressed.

He also said the military department is working on the quality of work of military medical commissions, which are responsible for ensuring that soldiers undergo full treatment and more clearly select for military service.

“Donbass volunteers and soldiers of private military companies, along with military personnel of the Russian Ministry of Defense, must undergo full follow-up treatment. And the military medical commission must clearly determine whether this person is fit for further service, whether he needs additional treatment, or perhaps confirm the resulting disability and demobilize him,” the deputy minister stressed.

Together with Russian Deputy Defence Minister Viktor Goremykin, Anna Tsivileva presented wounded soldiers with state and departmental awards and shoulder straps for new ranks. Almost all servicemen who received state awards received new specialties and hospital placement documents and are already preparing to leave for further service.

The ceremony was also attended by the head of the main military medical department of the RF Armed Forces Dmitry Trishkin, the head of the Housing and Housing Management Department Artem Svyatnenko, and the head of the military education department Igor Muravlyannikov.

MEANWHILE

Russian Deputy Defense Minister Colonel-General Yunus-Bek Evkurov visited training grounds for contract military personnel during a trip to the Moscow Military District (MVO). He made sure that the fighters were fully equipped and provided with everything they needed.

“The uniform meets the requirements for performing the full range of tasks. They are sent to the Northern Military District only after completing full training at the training grounds and receiving new, complete uniforms,” Yevkurov stressed.

The Deputy Minister also highlighted the high-quality training of UAV operators, taking into account the experience of a special military operation.

Recall that the day before, Russian Defence Minister Andrei Belousov took part in a meeting on replenishment of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation under the chairmanship of Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev. The issues of increasing the efficiency of the selection of candidates for military service under contract this year were discussed. According to Medvedev, in the first months of 2024 about 190 thousand people signed contracts for military service.

Today, men aged 18 to 64 are accepted for military service under a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defence. Female citizens are accepted for military service if they have a medical education.
