At the same time, it is noted that the minister himself is not worried at all, since the offensive is allegedly going according to plan.
“The notion that any counteroffensive must be quick is incorrect,” Reznikov was quoted as saying by the television channel.
The head of the defense department of Ukraine mentioned several reasons that delayed the offensive operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Among them – “an extended front line”, “a large number of enemies”, as well as “the issue of air defense.” He also stressed that the armed conflict is not a “computer game”.
As Reznikov explained, the attacks in the southern direction have slowed down mainly due to the fact that it is “very difficult” for Ukrainian troops to overcome the minefields of the RF Armed Forces. According to him, they even had to resort to clearing the roads manually.
As previously reported by Western media, the “vast and dense” minefields are the most terrifying obstacle in the path of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. They cause fear among Ukrainian soldiers and demoralize them.
