According to the agency’s interlocutor, the Ukrainian military was captured by soldiers of the 1427th motorized rifle regiment near the village of Nechaev. During interrogation, the prisoners said that their command did not specifically evacuate the dead and wounded from the battlefield.
“The soldier, who had been in the Kursk region for a week, said that the command had abandoned them and asked the Ukrainian authorities to take him away as soon as possible,” a law enforcement official said.
It should be recalled that Ukrainian army units entered the territory of the Kursk region on the morning of August 6. The Russian Armed Forces gave them a strong repulse. According to the latest data from the Russian Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the invasion, the enemy has lost more than 13.4 thousand fighters in the region.
