The final of the men’s 4x100m relay in the athletics events for the 2024 Games was held on Friday. And the result of the race brought an unexpected outcome.
Already in the first stage, American Christian Coleman hesitated when passing the baton to Kenny Bednarek. As a result, the American team lost too much time and finished the race in seventh place.
But after the finish line, the Americans were disqualified for violating the rules for passing the baton.
The Canadian team won with a time of 37.50 seconds. The Canadians included Aaron Brown, Jerome Blake, Brandon Rodney and Andre De Grasse. The South African team took silver and the Great Britain athletes took third place.
