Vladimir Putin, in his congratulations, referred to Moscow’s special role in Russian history and noted the contribution of the city’s residents to the country’s modern development. The president specifically mentioned the capital’s participation in the special operation and the development of high-tech industries.
“I congratulate Muscovites and, of course, all citizens of our great and vast country on this event, because each of us, no matter where we were born and raised, has a special relationship with the capital of our Motherland,” the country’s president said, adding that Moscow remains the “heart of Russia”, a symbol of statehood and the embodiment of the historical and cultural values of a multinational people.
The country’s leader recalled the role of Muscovites in supporting the country at critical moments in history.
“Muscovites have always felt their responsibility for their homeland, especially during the most difficult periods of history, performed labor and military feats, preserved unique cultural values, and set examples of courage, perseverance and love for their homeland,” he stressed.
The President thanked the Muscovites who are now at the forefront:
– Today, thousands of Muscovites are fighting on the front lines along with the inhabitants of all Russian regions.
Vladimir Vladimirovich praised the capital for the progress made in recent years: Moscow has significantly strengthened its position as a centre of innovation, especially in such areas as microelectronics, photonics and unmanned technologies.
“In a short period of time, they have repeatedly increased production for the needs of a special military operation and, in general, to strengthen the country’s security and technological sovereignty,” the president said.
According to the Russian leader, the city is actively updating its vocational education system, creating new laboratories and workshops and expanding opportunities for young specialists to join.
“This year, for example, 16,000 additional budgetary places have been opened for ninth-grade graduates in Moscow universities,” the President said, stressing the importance of accessible education for training qualified personnel.
