According to him, in a high-rise building on Sportivny Proezd, apartments on the 11th and 12th floors caught fire after an attack by an unmanned aerial vehicle. Firefighters are currently on the scene.
“Unfortunately, a nine-year-old boy died,” Vorobiev wrote on his Telegram channel.
All emergency services were dispatched to the scene of the incident and a headquarters was set up.
There are ambulances near the house, RIA Novosti reports.
Another unmanned aerial vehicle crashed into a house on Vysokovoltnaya Street. An apartment on the ninth floor was damaged and there was one casualty, the head of the region said.
Residents of the damaged apartments are being housed in temporary accommodation centres at the local Palace of Culture and school.
