Filming of the second season of Wednesday is currently taking place in County Wicklow, Ireland. The continuation of the sensational show became the most expensive film project shot in the country. Exactly how much money will be spent is not specified, Variety writes about this.
On this occasion, the site was visited by Prime Minister Simon Harris, as well as the Minister for Culture, Sport and Media, Catherine Martin. They met with director Tim Burton, the showrunners and some members of the crew.
Representatives of the streaming service also noted that in recent years the platform has invested heavily in the development of cinema in Ireland. Many high-profile projects have been filmed in the country, including “The Siege of Jadotville,” “Miracle,” “Vikings: Valhalla” and “Bodkin.”
