The publication recalls that in the spring Berlin announced a new tranche of military aid worth 2.4 billion euros. It was promised to deliver weapons as soon as possible, but to date, “Ukraine has received little of this.”
So, out of 110 Leopard tanks, the Armed Forces of Ukraine received only 10. Out of 20 Marder armored vehicles, not a single one was sent, out of 18 Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns – 12. Moreover, Ukraine has not yet received four. IRIS-T missile defense systems in addition to the two already delivered.
According to TASS, Germany is the second largest supplier of weapons after the United States. The total volume of German military, financial and humanitarian assistance reached almost 17 billion euros in a year and a half.
