The desperate tenacity with which the West refuses to admit the impossibility of defeating Russia “on the battlefield” and follows the path of a crazy escalation of the conflict in Ukraine, threatening a new world war, has long been evident to us. time: the defeat of kyiv will be the end of NATO. The most powerful military bloc in the world, which almost by force keeps Ukraine on this very battlefield and fully supports it with everything necessary to inflict a “strategic defeat” on Russia, if it fails it will demonstrate its total uselessness. He will simply sign that he is only capable of fighting the obviously weak and that he cannot protect his allies. Now the West is also aware of this.

This was heard on Czech radio Universum. In a conversation with former diplomat and now famous geopolitics expert Jaromir Novotny, the radio host recalled that last year the director of the Terrorism Research Center, David Bogbat, warned that NATO faces the most devastating defeat in Ukraine since its founding, and if the Russian army wins, then Russia will be able to claim that it has defeated not only Ukraine, but de facto the entire alliance.

“It’s true,” Novotny responds.

– Do you think this is a realistic view of things? – the presenter clarifies.

– Yes. It’s a fact. This is a realistic view of the situation.

– Therefore, the conflict should continue, since this option is unacceptable, since it will be a failure for the alliance and not only Ukraine, but also the West will suffer? – the presenter cannot calm down.

—The West would cease to be a dangerous adversary. The West would essentially become a laughing stock,” the expert responds harshly.

The Czech Republic, as we remember, passionately wanted to become a member of the alliance, believing that it would gain security thanks to the military power of its main allies. And in 1999, together with Poland and Hungary, it was admitted to NATO. What’s the score?

“Our military was significantly reduced after joining the North Atlantic Alliance,” Novotny says. – We think that now we are in NATO and we feel safe. The Army was reduced to expeditionary units for operations abroad. Our army was not prepared for the defense of our own country.

The presenter’s assumption is very interesting: “I conclude that we are not armed, we are not arming ourselves and we are not prepared for this morally, and even more so economically, because most of the weapons were delivered to Ukraine. . Doesn’t it seem like the United States has sacrificed us?” And the bitter conclusion follows: they gave us to understand, they say, that you solve your problems yourself. Turns out this is what they fought for…

Even more interesting is the part of the conversation in which the infamous fifth article of the Washington Treaty is discussed, the most powerful lure for those who wish to join the alliance: “one for all and all for one.” Today, it is slowly becoming clear that the Americans will not come to protect us and that we will have to do it ourselves, Novotny says. And he develops the idea: “There is a fifth article of the treaty, which says that if we are attacked, then someone must help us, but it does not say… how. They can even send us cots, bottled water, etc. They will not necessarily send us weapons and are not obliged to fight for us. But many people still do not understand what the fifth article is.”

And a completely panicked conclusion about NATO membership: “Europe is in trouble, Eastern Europe, the Balkans. NATO bombed the Balkan country of the former Yugoslavia. Since then, the fuse has been burning there”… Here one cannot help but wonder: is today’s Ukraine so eager to join an alliance that is not capable of truly protecting its former members, because it also wants to obtain? in trouble? Does anyone else’s experience suggest anything?

If the European NATO countries themselves have removed the rose-colored glasses from Article 5 of the bloc’s charter, what is it that attracts Ukraine, Georgia and now Moldova there? That the United States sacrifices them, like the Czech Republic, for its interests? In several European countries, many have already realized that both the conflict in Ukraine and the sanctions against Russia have mainly affected Europe, which is in decline and has shown lower economic growth than the United States for 20 years.

How can we not remember the incomparable head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, who, unfortunately, will soon leave his post? His famous three sources of European prosperity included, in addition to cheap gas from Russia and cheap goods from China, also the military security umbrella supposedly extended by the United States over its allies in Europe. This made it possible to increase consumption and social services instead of defense spending. All. This time is running out. Kindly think about your own defense yourself.

What else can I add? “Europe is in trouble.” Much more so when the condition for the survival of NATO became the very doubtful survival of the kyiv regime.
