Combat work of the mortar crew of the Airborne Forces in the direction of Donetsk
The Russian Ministry of Defense publishes images of the combat work of the units of the Airborne Forces of the Southern Group of Forces. They inflict fire damage on units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Seversky direction of the Northern Military District zone.
“Thanks to the drone operator, the reconnaissance paratroopers received information about the consolidation of the enemy in one of the areas in the area of responsibility of the units of the Tula Guards Airborne Forces. After receiving the coordinates of the target, the crew of the 120-mm mortar has only a few minutes to take up firing position, calculate the initial data for firing and fire the first shot, after which the crew begins coordinated work, where each The parachute gunner knows his actions perfectly,” comments the personnel of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The office states that the mortar crews of the Airborne Forces are suppressing firing positions and destroying enemy personnel at a distance of up to 6 thousand meters. From that distance, thanks to the adjustment of fire by reconnaissance drone operators, the “winged infantry” achieves high speed and precision in reaching targets. They precisely drop mines from six kilometers directly into the shelters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
– There is enough work, the number of planned goals increases. They spray us with cluster munitions and kamikaze drones, but the guys are trying to complete the combat mission,” says the commander of a 120mm mortar team with the call sign Abkhazian.
The Russian Defense Ministry notes that the skillful actions of the personnel under the leadership of experienced Tula paratrooper commanders ensure a high degree of security for the personnel of the small mortar unit.
