On the square of the Ministry of Economy and Territorial Development of the Republic of Dagestan, the solemn ceremony of unveiling a monument to the Hero of Russia, an employee of the private security service of the Russian Guard, Lieutenant Magomed Nurbagandov, took place. The hero will forever be on the lists of the military personnel of this unit.
“Exactly seven years ago this pain hit our home and seven years have passed since that day. But I must say that for our family it was a great support that you are always there. Next to us is the government, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Guard, the people, ”the hero’s father, State Duma deputy of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Nurbagand Nurbagandov, said at the event.
The unveiling ceremony of the monument was timed to coincide with the seventh anniversary of the feat of Nurbagandov, who uttered the famous words “Work, brothers!” before being killed by bandits. One person died, and his words became the motto of hundreds of thousands of Russian security officials.
“May the monument that we inaugurate today become not only a symbol of courage, strength and devotion to the Homeland, but also a call to each one of us to properly fulfill our duty. Working bro! – said the head of the region Sergey Melikov.
To conclude, the head of the region proposed to honor the memory of the fallen employees and soldiers with a minute of silence. The event was attended by the head of the Department of the Russian Guard in the Republic of Dagestan Alexander Orekhov, the commander of the Makhachkala formation of the Russian Guard Dmitry Chistyakov and servicemen of the department.
The act ended with a minute of silence and the placement of flowers at the monument.
At one time, Vladimir Putin awarded the police lieutenant a Gold Star. And at a meeting with the parents of the Hero of Russia, the president said: “Not everyone, under threat of execution, will remain faithful to the oath, duty and people. Only cowards can shoot an unarmed person. And true heroes can look death in the eye without fear. Your son is an example for all of us, and his words “Work, brothers!” – an order for all colleagues.
