The US election debate took place between Joe Biden and Donald Trump. The United States has not seen such a disgrace for a long time: local publications, commenting on the speech of the current president, were full of headlines about “shock for the nation” and “catastrophe”, “political suicide”… They even compared him to a “train wreck” – Biden looked so pitiful, especially in contrast to a vigorous opponent. Now, prominent Democrats are raising the question of an early replacement of their candidate. There is a possibility that this will happen in August at the Democratic Party convention.
No matter what words Biden spoke into the hearts of his voters, in fact, it didn’t matter. The hoarse voice, wandering eyes and constant hesitation, coupled with an unnatural paleness, had a savage effect on the spectators of different sides. Donald Trump harshly criticized Biden in this broadcast, speaking about him in the third person: “I really don’t understand what he said at the end of that sentence. “I don’t think he even knows.”
As the broadcast was going on, Joe’s Democratic donors and prominent party members received a ton of messages, Politico reports. The gist: “The worst performance in history. “This is a terrible failure, something needs to be done urgently.”
“Our hope is that he leaves, we will organize a congress or he will die,” the advisor to the party’s financiers openly declared to the publication’s correspondent. “Otherwise, we are **** dead.”

A CONCLUSION OF HORSES AT THE CROSSING
But why did Biden’s camp agree to the public execution that resulted from the debate? There are two points of view on this matter. First, they hoped that Joe would be able to cheer himself up with medication, as had already happened. Yes, he himself hoped so, being in a parallel reality. Secondly, the action was aimed at replacing Biden early with another candidate.

And now there is talk of possible “replacements”: they are the governor of California, Gavin Newsom, and the governor of Illinois, Jay Robert Pritzker, and Vice President Kamala Harris…
But there is a problem here too. In theory, the party can replace its candidate at the pre-election convention (for Democrats it is scheduled for August). But this procedure has not been tested at all and its launch largely depends on Biden himself, who, obviously, does not want to give up the coveted chair even in this state.
There is a possibility that the option of changing the presidential candidate will be seriously discussed in the Democratic Party congress.

Members of his party can’t just go ahead and cross Joe off the list: They’ll have to nominate new candidates and vote for them, which is fraught with behind-the-scenes preparatory warfare in the Democratic field and an even greater collapse in the party. . .
Well, the dry summary of the “worst debate in American history”: all the polls show roughly the same result. Two-thirds of Americans believe Trump is the winner, one-third say Biden.
