The 11th Russian Festival of Short Films and Debut Films “Koroche” takes place in Kaliningrad from August 15 to 20. During its inauguration, the Far East region received an award “For the development and support of national cinematography.” He was presented to the First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Permanent Representative of the Republic under the President of the Russian Federation Yuri Kupriyanov and the head of the Sakhafilm company Alexei Yegorov.
“This is another recognition of our republic as one of the centers of film production in the country. I sincerely congratulate everyone involved in Yakut cinema, all its fans! This is our common victory!” -the head of the region Aisen Nikolaev shared the good news with his compatriots on his Telegram channel.
Recall that last year 28 Yakut films collected 69.7 million rubles at the box office. Since the beginning of 2023, the Yakut cinema box office has already exceeded 60 million rubles.
