The Yaroslavl authorities have ordered an examination of the graves at the Ostashinsky cemetery with their photographs, identifying ownerless, unregistered burials and empty places. According to the official government procurement portal, applications for the electronic auction are accepted until July 10.
As a result, the client expects to receive a complete electronic database of cemetery burials. In addition, each burial must be classified according to a number of criteria. The following parameters are highlighted in the contract description: family, honorary, single, military, religious, unknown, duplicate.
The database should contain a description of the monument (granite, marble, metal, wood) as well as the size of each burial site. It is proposed to determine this by the size of the fences or by the location of the burial mounds with an accuracy of 15 centimetres.
All graves must be photographed. In addition, the photographs must allow the identification of the deceased and the size of the burial to be determined. Therefore, at least two photographs must be attached to the description of each grave: the structure of the grave and the general view of the site.
In this way, the authorities hope to restore order in the cemetery, including by finding suitable burial sites. This is especially relevant given the lack of space in Yaroslavl cemeteries.
The customer, the Yaroslavl-based MKU “City Cemetery Service”, estimated the cost of the works at 6.5 million rubles. The contract should be completed before winter.
