The competition in this class was the toughest and the racing drama was written like a thriller.
This season, Nastya just switched from a 300cc motorcycle (on which she became a multiple Russian champion) to a powerful six-hundred and immediately made life difficult for the leaders. She often attacked the “masters”, experimenting on the fly.
On the training day of the penultimate stage, Nastya tore a ligament in her leg and took painkillers. I managed to finish fourth. And now, in two weeks, the final stage is coming, Nizhny Novgorod is still third in the overall standings. Of course, the leg did not have time to recover and I had to inject painkillers again. Leading from start to finish, Dmitry Sedin won a landslide victory on the Moscow circuit in the last Supersport race.
The fight for second and third place took place between Vladislav Gordeychuk and Anton Fedorov. Vlad suffered a serious leg injury and was taken away by ambulance; the race was resumed. Anton switched to a spare motorcycle, but “due to inactivity at the time when the race was stopped by red flags” the championship ended for him.
After the restart, on the fifth lap, Nastya took third place, despite the pain in her leg and starting from the last position. As a result, she finished third and first in all stages. A fully deserved and decisive victory for Nizhny Novgorod. Congratulations! Vladislav Gordeychuk – silver, Anton Fedorov – bronze.
