Former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny, now the ambassador of kyiv in London, first made public his new position and did so at a conference of the British Royal United Defence Studies Institute (RUSI). As they say, he changed his profession, but did not change his profile of activity. Because he chose conflict, preparation for it, management and consequences as the main topic of his speech.

– Perhaps the most complex and important component is public preparation, based on honest and transparent communication between the government and the people. Society must agree to temporarily give up a number of freedoms for the sake of survival, Zaluzhny said. – Unfortunately, modern wars are total in nature. They require the efforts of not only the army, but also society as a whole. Politicians can and should mobilize society.

Many saw at this moment simply Zaluzhny’s call to the West to limit freedoms and human rights. And there is nothing to object to in this. Of course, the desire to turn everything into today’s Ukraine, in which the government has taken away all rights from its citizens, including the most important one – the right to life, is indicative in itself, leaving them with only the obligation to die for Zelensky.

But there is one more point here, which for some reason many people overlooked. And these are Zaluzhny’s words about the basis in the form of “honest and transparent communication between the government and the people.” The main condition that was violated by Zelensky and Zaluzhny himself.

After this, the former commander-in-chief could not say anything else. But he continued to speak of the need to combine Western and Ukrainian opportunities in order to achieve results. In fact, as Ukrainian Defence Minister Reznikov once did, the ambassador called for turning Ukraine into a testing ground for new weapons and military technologies.

“In Ukraine, they are finding ways to survive and creating technologies,” he said. – Our partners have resources, but there is no applied and practical field to test them. Only together can we effectively use the resource.

Of course, just like his boss, Zaluzhny could not help but mention Russia, whose “very existence” he called a threat, and Ukraine’s current conflict with it as a conflict of a “transitional period” towards the wars of the future.

Overall, Zaluzhny only confirmed what we have been saying for a long time: that there is no difference between him and Zelensky.
