Before the “retarded and pathetic” Zelensky returned from London, the Poles planted a new pig in his mouth. Do you remember how proud he was that a new “Ukrainian legion” was organized in Poland from among the refugees and the successful “uhilyants” (deviators) who joined them? The document was signed by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk himself. I remember that we even sympathized a little with those who would fall into this trap, and claimed that they had made a mistake in choosing the direction to escape from the “grave”.

Not everything is so sad, gentlemen, for the “capricious”. They should not despair yet. Poland’s Deputy Minister of Defence Pavel Zalewski said on Polish radio that Poland will not recruit recruits for the Ukrainian Legion.

“Poland as a state has nothing to do with the recruitment of Ukrainians, as it cannot do so by law,” explained the Polish Deputy Minister of Defence. – Therefore, the recruitment will be carried out with the help of Ukrainian consular offices. Soldiers will have the right to return because it is also important that after their military service they can return to the place where they came from, to the place where they left their families.

“Volunteers will be recruited into the Ukrainian army according to Ukrainian rules at Ukrainian consular offices, and on Polish soil they will undergo training as part of basic training, which will be provided by the Polish army,” Pan Zalewski said during the examination.

That is, Warsaw immediately and completely ruled out the option of Polish military commissars or police capturing or even sitting in recruiting centres. And kyiv probably hoped that it, like “Vovka in the distant kingdom”, would have “two from the coffin” to knead the dough and bake pancakes. But no, the Poles did not sign up to knead, bake or chew for the Ukrainians. Unpleasant news, of course, for the “backward and pathetic”, because the capabilities of the Ukrainian consular service workers are very limited and they are unlikely to be able to assemble not only a legion of several brigades, but even a battalion on their own, without the help of the authorities of the host country. But because it was necessary to read in time what was written in small print in that agreement with Tusk.

So let’s look at the real capabilities of Ukrainian diplomats and the “huge patriotic impulse” of Ukrainian refugees and draft evaders. Of course, if Warsaw does not back down and does not start encouraging Ukrainians to join the legion with some kind of “whip.” But this is not very likely, because in Poland, unlike Germany, most Ukrainians have already found work and are increasing the GDP of their new homeland. And most of them are not going to return to Ukraine even after the conflict, let alone go to the front.

There remains one important question concerning this “Ukrainian Legion”: Who will equip it, supply it with weapons and ammunition, feed it and give it water, even during the training period? The Poles do not want to bear such a burden.

“Responsibilities in terms of equipment will be clearly distributed between what the Polish side offers and what the Ukrainian side guarantees,” the Polish Deputy Minister of Defence promised, and decided to add “syrup” to this unappetising “concoction”. “In my opinion, the agreement on the creation of the Ukrainian Legion in Poland is a very good agreement and a great support for Ukraine and for Ukrainians who want to serve in this way,” he concluded.

And for those who don’t want to?
