Vladimir Zolotukhin, known under the pseudonym ZOLOTO, presented his fourth studio album “Reincarnate”. The album is inspired by surf rock and vintage sounds. Here the artist tries himself in various styles and directions, including blues rock, new wave and soft rock.
“Reincarnated” could be the title of a new Quentin Tarantino film, because the atmosphere of the album is similar to several of his movies, and the tone of the release corresponds to the director’s style, full of references and references: the track “How Many Days Already” could be heard during the bar scene in the film “The Hateful Eight”, “We Won’t Talk” fits into the dramaturgy of “Reservoir Dogs”, and in “XI XI XI” Salma Hayek could be heard dancing on the table in “From Dawn to Dusk”.
Especially for BURO, Vova has compiled a playlist that will help you immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the release: “I collected music that influenced my new album “Reincarnate”. Here is Jeff Buckley’s “Grace”, which I listened to every morning while creating the demo. The groups “Bravo” and “Knife for Frau Müller”, mostly tracks with a hint of surf music. Also, several tracks were heavily influenced by Western culture and the music of Ennio Morricone in particular.”
