One of the most anticipated moments by Jujutsu Kaisen fans throughout the manga was Itadori getting his domain extension in the battle against Sukuna. After a long wait and with the arrival of chapter 264, Gege Akutami finally got the fandom’s wish: our rooster got the power-up we’ve been craving for.
It is a fact that we were all surprised when we saw this new chapter, with the hope that Gege’s husband would finally be defeated, but first, it is important to know who among Itadori’s greatest masterminds acquired his impressive abilities.

Itadori’s evolution against Sukuna has long fascinated fans. This is largely due to the fact that he has shown himself to be a wizard with immense ability to keep up with the Curse King, developing increasingly impressive skills. However, it was the long-awaited reveal of his Domain Expansion that shocked everyone, as there is a high probability that it will be the key to ending Ryomen’s reign of terror.

Chapter 264 of Jujutsu Kaisen provided a glimpse of a sorcerer’s technique that has a strong Buddhist connection, which may explain Yuji’s role in the story and some of his personality characteristics.
The seal he uses with his hands has an interesting meaning, as Gege may have been focusing on Ksitigarbha, the bodhisattva who leads lost souls to enlightenment and liberates those suffering in hell before achieving enlightenment himself.

After expanding his domain, a shocking panel is shown of Yuji and Sukuna meeting at a train station. Many fans speculate that this location may be part of Itadori’s domain, and that it is here that the young sorcerer will attempt to illuminate the Curse King’s soul. The presence of Ryoumen, who resembles Itadori, provides intriguing clues about the outcome of this epic battle.
With the protagonist’s new ability, he is expected to direct Sukuna north, as the station they are at is in Kitakami City (Iwate Prefecture), which is where the Tohoku Shinkansen route goes in that direction.

If this is confirmed, it would prove that Akutami had planned everything carefully, as it is in line with Itadori’s ideals that all people deserve to die with dignity.
It is a fact that this latest chapter has left a lot of speculations that are troubling the fandom, we just have to wait a little bit to see how Jujutsu Kaisen ends.
