One of the most difficult manga of recent years has undoubtedly been Berserk. After the death of mangaka Kentaro Miura, the publication of chapters and volumes has become intermittent, as the interval between them can range from a few days to months, as happened with the 377th episode, which leaves fans waiting with disbelief for its premiere. However, a ray of light has fallen on those readers of the manga who have decided to collect its volumes, particularly Western fans, as publisher Hakusensha and the current manager of the manga, Koji Mori, have confirmed that Berserk Volume 42 will be released in March 2025. The illustrations will be done by Studio Gaga under the supervision of Mori and will consist of 192 pages.

It should be remembered that this volume was released in Japan on September 29, 2023, so it will take almost two and a half years for it to arrive in the West. Volume 42 is compiled from Episode 365 “The Calm of the Waning Moon” to Episode 373 “The Rusty Iron Bands Cannot Move Forward”.
Berserker’s Difficult Future
Ever since Koji Mori took over the reins of Berserk, one of the manga’s main concerns (aside from its periodicity) has been what storyline it will choose.
“I will only write the episodes that Miura told me about, and I will not cut or add anything. “I will not add chapters that I do not remember well, and I will only write the lines and stories that Miura described,” was one of the promises Koji Mori made since taking over the reins of Berserk.

Additionally, Berserk is in Chapter 376, where fans of the series have put forth theories about the appearance of iconic characters and the inevitable preparation of the manga to achieve its result, but the wait is likely to be long.
