The most frustrating moment for every fan of Nana, Ai Yazawa’s cult classic, is the ending because as we all know, there is no ending to the manga and this creates a lot of intrigue for fans of this story. Despite this, the anime did have an ending, although it did allow us to learn more about Nan’s story and each of the characters involved.

It is a fact that this story starts out happy and fun, but as the anime progresses, we realize that it becomes more tragic and sad as Nana Komatsu, better known as Hachi, begins her romance with Takumi.
In each chapter, we get to see the hardships that the characters face, starting with Nana Osaka and the members of the Black Stones as they begin to bring the fame they so desire, and especially Nana succeeding in surpassing the love of her life. rival, Ren.

How does the anime Nana end?
The story speaks to us at different times: the main characters tell us a story from the future and introduce us to what happened in their lives, and also tell us how they face desperate or happy situations.
In the last chapter, we see Hachi leading an armed life with Takumi, and the Black Stone triumphing in the world of music. The iconic moment in the story, before all the drama, is when the Nans and the band members get together to watch the fireworks. This is one of the most special moments because that is when they realize their strong love for each other.

So later, when the Black Stones are separated from Hachi, Shin gets a message from her to make her look like she did in that season. This is successfully achieved despite the misunderstandings and problems that arise between several characters, but even so the story is more heartbreaking than it seems.
In the future, Hachi and the Black Stone continue to meet in apartment 707, which Hachi shared with Nana, only now Komatsu has a daughter, Takumi. They are all adults and their lives are set, but what makes everyone sad and nostalgic is that Nana Osaki disappears and is never heard from again. Many say he fled to England as some evidence was due to one of the photographers known in history for persecuting members of the Black Stones.
The anime ends with Hachi’s dialogue with Nana, and it is here that the famous phrase appears:
“Do you know Nana? The summer you were waiting for and couldn’t come to terms with has already arrived. We will always be waiting for you, even if 10, 20 or 50 years pass.”
Nana is part of Ai Yazawa’s best manga and will undoubtedly leave a mark on the hearts of people who immerse themselves in this story full of drama, friendship and romance. If you haven’t seen it yet, don’t wait any longer because it’s worth it.
