The third round of Euro 2024 is now complete in Group B. Two matches were played: Spain beat Albania 1:0 and Italy played Croatia 1:1. A crazy finish from the Italians knocked them out of the group in second place, with Croatia most likely heading home. But today there were many changes! Let’s solve everything.

So far only one pairing is 100% clear: Italy will play Switzerland. The match will be played on June 29 at 7:00 p.m. Moscow time.

Now to Croatia. You have a chance, but everything is VERY difficult. Estimated at 2%. This is what Modric’s team needs to reach the playoffs with two points:
England beat Slovenia 3:0/4:0 or better. If the difference is three goals, then only 3:0 is fine, Denmark’s victory over Serbia with a score of 3:0 or four goals or more OR Serbia’s victory over Denmark 3:0 or four goals or more. France definitively qualified from the group. England definitely qualified from the group. The Netherlands definitively qualified from the group. Spain is most likely (83%) to play the third team in Group E: Belgium, Slovakia, Romania and Ukraine. The third team from group D has almost made it to the playoffs – the probability of such a result is 99.9%. Most likely Austria. Hungary benefited from Croatia’s draw: their chances of qualifying from the group increased to 87%. Portugal awaits the Hungarians in the round of 16 (the probability of such a pairing is 85%).
