On September 21st, a professional boxing evening will be held in Wembley, London, with the main event being the heavyweight title fight between the current IBF champion Daniel Dubois and the eminent Anthony Joshua. Two of Britain’s top fighters suffered heavy defeats at the hands of Alexander Usik and are now looking to return to the elite of world boxing.

The bookmakers consider Joshua the favourite for the fight. You can bet on his victory at a meagre 1.25, while his opponent is given a 4.20 odds. You can bet on a draw at 23.0.
The full fight costs 3.85 and the early finish of the fight is estimated at 1.24. The odds of the fight ending in a knockout are 1.33.
Which of the two hitters is stronger?
These boxers are united primarily by the fact that they both lost to Alexander Usik. Moreover, Anthony Joshua lost to the Ukrainian twice, both times by decision. But Dubois could not resist; Usyk knocked him out in the ninth round.
How did Dubois become IBF champion? Here Usik helped him. The Ukrainian refused the mandatory title defense. The organization arranged a fight for the interim title between Dubois and Filip Hrgovic. The Briton knocked out his opponent and won the interim title, which later became permanent.

Both are British, both have a similar style, they are punchers. Experts consider Joshua the favourite. Firstly, he has impressed a lot in his last fights. Secondly, he is more experienced and technical, his boxing IQ is higher than his opponent’s. Anthony will try to control the pace of the fight and wait for his opponent’s mistakes. And there is no doubt that they will be. In the fight with the much less experienced Hrgovic, Daniel failed quite a bit. In a fight with Joshua, revenge will be immediate.
What can Dubois count on? My youth. The seven-year difference is quite serious and can affect championship tests. But we still have to get to them. To beat Joshua, Daniel will need to turn this fight into a real showdown. Constant pressure, a lot of power struggle and grappling – this is how you can wear down your opponent and find your chance. If Anthony works as number one, then Dubois will have no special options left.

What to choose here for bets? Joshua’s victory is considered low, as is the knockout. Therefore, we suggest taking a time period of the battle. It is unlikely that we will see a resolution in the first half. Dubois is a durable guy, he definitely has enough stamina and concentration for the first half of the fight. But starting from the seventh round, problems will begin to arise more and more often.
In addition, Daniel will have to be more active and take risks; he cannot count on winning by decision; added to the fact that it is not the best defense, this leads us to bet that Joshua will win between the seventh and twelfth round. The coefficient is quite good: 2.57. Let’s stop there.
