Russian clubs are actively preparing for the restart of the RPL season. CSKA and Fakel played a control match in Belek, Türkiye. Interestingly, the teams will play the championship in early April. How was today’s meeting?
CSKA previously played three friendly matches. Vladimir Fedotov’s team beat Sohar of Oman (4-1), Torpedo Moscow (3-2) and Andijan of Uzbekistan (2-0). “Fakel” played many more games. Sergei Tashuev’s team played against CSKA with Sabail (Azerbaijan), Nasaf (Uzbekistan), Koper (Slovenia), the South Korean national team (U23) and Baltika. It is curious that earlier, on February 5, the Voronezh team already held a test meeting with KAMAZ (1:1). So the match against CSKA was the second of the day. So far, the teams in the training camp are not playing with their main teams. Both Fedotov and Sergei Tashuev actively rotate players. And not all of them are available: some are injured, and CSKA defender Kelven, for example, is in the Brazilian Olympic team. However, the level of the footballers, even if they are not in optimal combinations, is still different.

From the first minutes of the first half, CSKA looked prettier, creating much more dangerous chances. Despite the rotation, the military team came out with a classic formation with three central defenders. And on the flanks were Ilya Agapov and Milan Gaich. The first, by the way, was very active in the first 45 minutes: he often joined the attack, threatening Fakel’s goal. Agapov wasted his biggest chance at the end of the half, firing at Belenov from an advantageous position. Interestingly, a minute later, Gaich made exactly the same shot – the Voronezh goalkeeper returned to the rescue. Belenov generally played calmly throughout the match, saving Fakel.
For example, a couple of times after corner kicks, the goal of the Voronezh team was threatened by Willian Rocha with a header. But Alejandro always deflected the threat. Ivan Oblyakov hit the post in the first half, Víctor Dávila was very active. But Belenov and luck helped Fakel go into the break without conceding a goal. It is surprising that in the end CSKA did not score.

But already at the beginning of the second half the Muscovites scored. It turned out to be funny: Zabolotny, who came on as a substitute, crossed into the area, from where he hit Dávila from a disadvantageous position. It turned out clumsily, but the ball somehow flew into Fakel’s goal (thanks to the rebound off Vladislav Masterny’s body).

By the way, Fedotov released six new players for the second half. One of the interesting figures is 18-year-old defender Jamalutdin Abdulkadyrov, who took the field for the first time at the training camp. After conceding a goal, “Fakel” tried to attack and look for opportunities in the opposing goal. But it didn’t work very well. Therefore, he will not immediately remember any danger that the Voronezh team created for CSKA. But the army team calmed down in the second 45 minutes. There was not as much agility as at the beginning. It must be taken into account that the teams on the training ground are under load and are not yet in optimal shape. So you can’t expect a show throughout the match.
CSKA’s winning streak in training camp continued. In the next match, the army team will play against Rodina Moscow (February 9). And “Fakel” will again play two matches on February 10: against “Volgar” and “Ordabasy” (Kazakhstan).
