— Perhaps Udaltsov doesn’t know, but the most traumatic sport is football, not hockey or rugby. And all our serious injuries in the spring were purely game-related. Preparation or physical condition had absolutely nothing to do with it. Kostya Maradishvili broke his crosses in single combat in the match against Krasnodar. Then Maiga “broke” on an artificial field in Orenburg. And again as a result of a cross. Kuchaev was injured again in Kaliningrad as a result of single combat. — Is it possible to know who exactly was dissatisfied? A team cannot have results if there is no team. Now Karapuzov and Boselli fight in training, players are divided into groups, which is called bad atmosphere. That is why the result is like this. And when there was a good atmosphere, the result was appropriate: they were at the top of the table with the last or second-to-last budget in the league. It is at the expense of the team.
Lack of objectivity in the selection of the starting eleven and replacements
— I had all the players included in the application involved. Yes, regarding the Cup, I immediately said: “Krasnodar”, “Spartak”, “Dynamo” – this is a group of death; there is practically no chance of leaving the group. Our priority was to stay in the RPL. Therefore, in the Cup, in most cases, young people from the second team took part. As for objectivity, I have always said: whoever gives their best and works hard in training has priority. I have never divided footballers into starters and substitutes. I always had a starting eleven. At the same time, if we conduct analysis, all my players received game practice and all were ready to go out and help at any time: some for 45 minutes, some for 15, some for 10. I have only one objectivity: this is competition. This is the only thing I always start with.

— Here I advise you to look at the score and the results that the team gave. Those who came on as substitutes scored goals more than once: Boselli, Kutateladze and Ze Turbo. You only need to analyze from the first match to the last, and not selectively select some segments at your discretion.

Greater involvement in transfers and interaction with agents.
— I have a clear understanding of these processes, acquired in European football: the coach must train and the sporting department must search and select players to strengthen the squad. Once candidates for a particular position are found, let’s say two or three people, they are shown to the coaching staff. And then I, as the head coach, express my opinion: will it help the team or not.
The candidates were proposed by the management, and at the first stage I was only responsible for the sporting part. Then the head scout came and decided on his own, then the negotiations were conducted by the club management. At the final stage, the acquisition of players was approved by the board of directors, which included the regional governor. I was not even present at this board. Therefore, I had no “interaction with agents” here, not one billion percent. I have always said this: if a footballer suits me, I don’t care who his agent is – Ivanov, Petrov or Sidorov. Then the club works with him, both with the player’s salary and with the agent’s commission. I had nothing to do with this; you can ask the governor himself how decisions were made in Nizhny.
We didn’t allocate a single cent for transfers for the summer transfer campaign. They could only sign free players, the salary cap was the First League. What kind of involvement in agency matters is there? But now the opposite is happening. The Slovak, whom the club valued in the summer at 250-300 thousand euros, was signed for almost twice as much. So maybe Udaltsov is involved here? Because now only he is involved in transfers to Paris NN. The club brought Bosseli practically for free, Udaltsov called him a weak foreign player in the spring and now they want a million euros for him.
Now they buy a 28-year-old defender for 500 thousand. In my case, one could only dream of such expenditure on reinforcements. They took an Israeli who was sitting on a bench. And all these are average players who are no better than those currently in the team.

Emotional crises
— How can you work in football without emotions? When a coach lives for the team, the match, the result, he must give 100 percent. It’s not about crises, but about an emotional reaction to some things. I always work like this. Aren’t Rakhimov or Goncharenko passionate about the game? This is normal. No matter how calm Fedotov is, even he spoke up when he was nervous. I’m worried about the team. And the players feel and see when the coach fights for them. You can’t offend your team. And I didn’t. The CES later admitted: “Yes, here and here the referee was wrong.” And we lost points. Why not react to this? Sometimes you need to cheer up the players, how else? That’s why we got the result.
What now? I am worried about the city. There are conditions there, but, unfortunately, people do not do their current job, but try to blame others for their failures. 10 transfers during the summer, but without results. Sad picture.
