Real Madrid announced the transfer of the Frenchman in early June. The statement itself on the official website was rather dry, but it caused a huge influx of users. As a result, the resource could not cope with the load and temporarily failed. Later, new colors appeared: Mbappé commented on the transition, and the Club published a welcome video. A post announcing the transfer on the social network X (formerly Twitter) gained 42 million views in an hour and a half! Even Cristiano Ronaldo himself took to Kylian’s social networks and congratulated him on the transfer.
The star newcomer’s presentation was scheduled for July 16, after the end of the European Championship. Mbappé arrived in Madrid without a trophy: the French national team lost to Spain in the semi-finals. And in general, Kylian disappointed in the tournament (one goal, and it was a penalty). But, of course, this did not affect the enthusiasm surrounding the presentation.

First, Mbappé looked towards the dressing room and took a photo next to his locker. And then he went to a much more important event: the signing of the contract. The Frenchman was accompanied by Real Madrid president Florentino Perez. We signed the contract, took a photo with the shirt (the striker received the number nine) and went to the club museum.
After that, Kylian walked out onto the pitch in a Real Madrid uniform and around 80 thousand people watched the presentation at the stadium. The event was attended by Mbappé’s eminent compatriot Zinedine Zidane (legendary footballer and manager of the Madrid club). Mbappé himself spoke Spanish. He ended his speech with the phrase “One, two, three. Come on Madrid!” He thus repeated the trick of Ronaldo, who uttered the same words during his presentation at the Spanish club in 2009. After all the action on the pitch was over, Mbappé’s first press conference as a Real Madrid player took place.

On when he decided to go to Real Madrid: “I decided to go to Real Madrid when I was a child. I always knew that my destiny was to play for this club. I am very happy that the dream has come true.
