The cult series “Daddy’s Daughters” has returned to the screens with new episodes. And he’s back with a little surprise for figure skating fans! Ilya Averbukh participated in one of the episodes as a cameo. The famous choreographer is married to Elizaveta Arzamasova, who plays one of “daddy’s daughters” Galina Sergeevna, so it was no coincidence that she appeared on the set.
It is ironic that Averbukh was invited to participate in the episode in which his wife’s heroine introduces her parents to her lover. Galina Sergeevna’s new boyfriend even criticized Ilya!

Is Averbukh an actor now?
Averbukh and Arzamasova have been married for more than three years. The couple has a very warm and supportive relationship and are often involved in each other’s projects. This is especially true in the case of Lisa: she skated in “Ice Age” and even became the winner of the project together with Nikita Katsalapov, and also participated as a singer in her husband’s ice shows. Now it’s Averbukh’s turn to appear in his wife’s project. The famous choreographer starred in the new episode of the series “Daddy’s Daughters”, the project that launched Arzamasova’s career. Ilya played himself: he appeared as a long-time client of Galina Sergeevna, who works as a lawyer.
Averbukh appeared in the frame for just a minute, the choreographer assures that acting is not his thing. With her participation in the series, he wanted to support her wife, since this project had already become very dear to her.
“I only acted in a movie once. Then it seemed to me that I could become a great actor. But when I saw myself on the screen, I realized that it was the first and the last time that this story was not for me at all. In “Daddy’s Daughters,” since I played myself and Lisa did the rest, I think I did well. But I have no intention of starting a career as a film actor,” Averbukh admitted to StarHit.

The episode in which Ilya played was dedicated to the relationship of Galina Sergeevna’s new boyfriend with his parents. Throughout the series, the heroine’s former lovers appeared in the frame: her classmate Polezhaikin and the foreigner Jiri. Boris, Galina Sergeevna’s boyfriend, was very jealous of all of them. At the end of the episode, Averbukh stopped by the “daddy’s daughters” house to deliver the documents to his lawyer. But in real life Boris did not feel jealous of Galina Sergeevna’s husband. When the heroine’s relatives were waiting for a reaction from him, he simply said dismissively: “What’s wrong with this?” And there the series ended.
Filming the episode inspired Averbukh with memories of his first meeting with Arzamasova.
“Liza was 14 years old then and she and her mother went to the skating rink at the Culture Park, where “Ice Age” was filmed. There I saw Lisa and her mother for the first time,” Ilya told StarHit.
This was about 15 years ago. The relationship between the actress and the choreographer began much later. Now Ilya and Lisa have been happily married for more than three years, raising their common son Lev and awaiting the birth of their second child.
