Juventus has started a legal process to withdraw from the Super League project. This was reported by the Bianconeri press service.
“After conversations with Real Madrid and Barcelona, and in the face of some discrepancies over the interpretation of the agreements applicable to the Super League, Juventus confirms that it has started the procedure to withdraw from the aforementioned project,” the club said in a statement.
Earlier, the Turin team was deprived of ten points in the Italian championship due to financial fraud on the part of the “old woman” management. In order to avoid subsequent sanctions from UEFA and maintain the ability to play in European competition, the club announced that it plans to withdraw from the Super League project.
Recall that in the spring of 2021, 12 of the best European teams announced the creation of a new tournament called the Super League, for which they were criticized by football fans and sports federations. As a result, only Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus kept their intention to found the Super League.
