The first round of the Men’s Volleyball Super League is over. Seven matches have been played and the first heroes are already there. Some kept the match at a consistently high level and allowed the team to confidently win, while others did not get into the game from the start, but changed the course of the match. Who was the best?

Maxim Mikhailov (Zenit-Kazan)
Year after year, people talk about Mikhailov not being the same and needing a replacement, but he goes out on the court and shows an extraordinary level. Kirill Klets started the match against Belogorye, but with the score 1:2 in sets, Alexey Verbov threw his wild card into the fight. And the difference in class became immediately obvious!
Mikhailov made 10 of 14 attacks and was a great help in defense and security. With him, Zenit Kazan’s hitherto somewhat unbalanced game found harmony. So far, not everything is going well with the serve, but even with a simple glider, Mikhailov caused difficulties for Belogorye’s receivers.

Petar Krsmanovic (Dinamo-Ural)
The Serbian legionnaire from the Ufa club played a good match against Nova. He scored 9 of 10 offensive goals and made four blocks. All this with the best utility indicator of the match – +11. Thanks in large part to Krsmanovich’s actions, Dynamo-Ural avoided trouble and won in three sets.

Maxim Bocharov (Yenisei)
Many people associate Krasnoyarsk with Roman Murashko, but this time the young hitter stepped out of the shadow of his diagonal and played a great match in Kemerovo. 20 points with 62% of attacks, three aces and one block – grandmaster figures and an impressive contribution to Yenisei’s three-point victory.

Denis Bogdan (Dynamo)
Another wild card from the 1st round. The striker appeared during the first set of the match against Fakel, which Dynamo lost, and stabilized the team’s game. Almost 50% efficiency in attack and +14 at the end of the match. In addition, Bogdan scored several important goals at the right moments and survived the reception. The next three matches were in the hands of the Muscovites.

Pavel Avdochenko (Dynamo-LO)
The Belarusian diagonal player appeared fully on the court only in the fourth game of the match against ASK, but managed to score 16 points on 70% of his attacks. In the first match of the season, the team from Sosnovoborsk reached the tiebreak and won it largely thanks to Avdochenko, who was the main attacking option.
