President of the Russian Olympic Committee Stanislav Pozdnyakov, in a conversation with a Soviet sports correspondent, spoke about the prospects of creating alternative games for national team sports.
“The fact is that the team disciplines already have a very busy internal calendar in the championship, football, hockey and other sports. Quite a few events are already taking place. In my opinion, team sports have not suffered such illegal and unfair sanctions as individual sports, emphasis is now placed on them,” Pozdniakov said.
Previously, Stanislav Pozdnyakov announced the amount of compensation to Olympic athletes in case of non-participation in international competitions.
