The Russian team is back! It would seem like any friendly match. In past realities, a full stadium might not have gathered for such a game. But now the battle with Cameroon is an important meeting for us. And we have every reason for it.
The atmosphere at a game like that was just incredible. Football has finally brought holidays to Russia. And it seemed that neither the fans nor the players treated the match as a friendly. Even the Cameroonians, who the other day had an official match with another team, ran and did everything possible to demonstrate their level.
But much more important is the fact that we finally heard the anthem and saw the Russian flag at an international match. Well, what happiness and pride. Then it is possible. So is there more to come? I think so. The arrival of such a strong and titled team in Russia cannot be ignored on the international stage. This is a clear “tick” in our favor. Others will look at the example of Cameroon and be convinced that everything is fine in Russia. And for us everything is fine, not only in terms of security (greetings to Matthias Norman), but also in terms of organization. Just look at the spectacle that the RFU put on for this match: lots of guests, a large number of activities for both children and adults, brilliant entertainment and comfort for all fans. On Thursday we managed to gather an almost full stadium in Moscow. But it was a working day: people have to work tomorrow.
The fact that such a large number of stars came to Russia, were not afraid and fought is also an advantage for us. A happy André Onana walked smiling and marveled at the magnitude of the event, the formidable forward Vincent Abubakar came out with the captain’s armband and gave it his all. Now they too will have only pleasant memories of Russia. This is also significant.
And it is worth highlighting the level of our team, which showed desire and passion for victory from the beginning to the end of the match. Our players beat the world stars. And they deserve to be proud. Very young guys, but they played like seasoned veterans. Such a team would not be lost upon returning to the international level.

This organization and play will allow Russia to host increasingly famous opponents. Our youth team has already gone to a training camp in Brazil and is playing important matches with local teams there. It is a good sign for the main team, which confirmed its status only in the match against Cameroon. Russia has many friends in this world and very soon we will gladly welcome them and come to visit them. There is a lot of interesting and international football ahead.
