On September 19, five matches were held in the KHL regular season. Let’s summarize them.
Siberia played today without Vladislav Kara, who fit perfectly into the lineup: the striker’s mother died and he dedicated his double in the last match to her memory. “Traktor” played its first home match at the end of September and the hockey-starved stadium gave the hosts a new lease of life. The Chelyabinsk team took the lead very quickly after a successful penalty shoot-out by Maxim Shabanov, but in just two minutes they conceded two goals: among them was a beautiful attempt by Mikhail Kotlyarevsky to score a goal in the minority. However, in the third period, Traktor increased their shooting activity and responded with their own double, which became the winner.

Barys got their first win of the season in Yekaterinburg, but the quality of David Nemirovsky’s team’s play remained extremely poor. The hero of the last match, Nikita Boyarkin, remained in the reserves, Damir Zhafyarov, who was injured, was out of action, and Barys lost with a clean sheet in Kazan, again showing nothing.
