Spartak gained a lot of momentum at the start of the KHL season! But what is happening to Dynamo?

Alexey Kudashov’s team lost again. And this is already alarming.
The capital derbies always arouse the greatest interest and attract special attention. The history of the confrontation between Spartak and Dynamo dates back to Soviet times. In the KHL, the matches between these teams are also exciting and sometimes extremely productive. I immediately remember how in the last regular season the red-and-whites won in overtime by 8:7 (!).
At the beginning of the season, Alexei Zhamnov’s team (by the way, a native Dynamo player) had already managed to beat CSKA and Dynamo Minsk, but unexpectedly stumbled in the match against HC Sochi. The situation for Alexey Kudashov is much more complicated: success in the meeting with Severstal, but failures in the matches with Kunlun and Lada make you think, and then there is the Miska-Motirygin goalkeeping team, frankly, it does not help. Nervousness, of course, spreads to the entire team.

“I have already said more than once that Comtois and Miska will need time. I don’t know how much time exactly. They are not so far away now. Everything is fine with our team. The question is another, as you rightly said: how quickly the newcomers will get used to it and understand our hockey. This is the most important moment now, because both have potential. It is important for them to get used to it faster,” Kudashov said.
In the first half, the blue-and-whites had the initiative, attacked more and took the lead thanks to O’Dell’s puck in the power play. Spartak had several chances in quick attacks, but could not get past Motorygin. It was he who was entrusted with a place in the goal of the nominal guests.
In the second twenty minutes, the red-and-whites literally caught their breath. Alexey Zhamnov’s team was simply unstoppable!
Dynamo started the second half aggressively, but failed to take advantage of several opportunities and then the match leveled up. Spartak’s first line had its say: Goldobin, Morozov and Poryadin scored the puck. Dynamo, it seemed, was increasingly out of place.

For example, the normally polite Mikheev rudely greeted Orlov from the side. The Spartak player fell to the ice and could not get up for a long time. The red-and-white defender got a serious blow to the face, after which he started bleeding. As a result, the referees decided to award the Dynamo forward 5+20. Alexey Kudashov’s face was perplexed and, to some extent, incomprehensible.
In the third twenty-minute period, Spartak largely held on to the score. In the end, Dynamo had the opportunity to play in the majority, replacing the goalkeeper with an extra hockey player, as a result of which they managed to reduce the score to a minimum: Paquette scored.
The match ended with Ruzicka scoring into an empty net. Let’s watch another victory for the Spartak players who have gained momentum (and Andrei Mironov’s first over his former team), but something incomprehensible is happening with Dynamo. It’s time for the coaching staff to think seriously and draw conclusions.
