Today, July 23, it became known that Spartak striker Alexander Sobolev, for some unknown reason, has been suspended from training with the main team. This probably has something to do with his possible move to Zenit, but this is just speculation. “Championship” releases situations online until they are resolved. Read all the details here.
Interestingly, the striker travelled to Orenburg for the away game of the Red and Whites in the first round of the RPL. But Dejan Stankovic never let Alexander onto the field. The Muscovites lost 0:2 and dropped to the bottom of the Russian championship standings.
As for Sobolev, there has been talk for several weeks that the player will move to St. Petersburg, but the deal has not been closed yet. There were reports that Spartak increased the player’s release amount from 8 to 10 million euros and thus slowed down the negotiations and the transfer itself.
