“Torpedo” ruined Leonid Tambiev’s birthday, “Avtomobilist” is great on the road.
Five KHL regular season games were played on September 26. Let’s summarize them.
“Amur” achieved the long-awaited victory at home, and this happened under unusual circumstances. The goal of defenseman Alexander Shchemerov was not seen by the referees on the court and was counted only after the operational intervention of the “war room”: the puck, after a powerful throw, quickly flew back onto the field. Then Kirill Slepets was in the spotlight: the quick striker twice in one minute ran into quick escapes in a minority and scored a double. The first and only KHL forward to achieve such an achievement before Slepts was Dmitry Tarasov, a Khabarovsk resident who played for Sibir at the time of his achievement.

At the beginning of the season, the “Admiral” surprises everyone with a fierce attack, and today the Far East led 2:0, although the “Torpedo” created more. However, then the Nizhny Novgorod team began the comeback: in this they were partially helped by the sailors’ goalkeeper Andrei Mishurov, who did not play the match with more confidence. Kirill Voronin scored a double, and one of the goals was also in the minority: one of the fastest players in the KHL did not celebrate goals against the team where he started his career. Torpedo’s goal, disallowed at the request of Leonid Tambiev, did not stop the Nizhny Novgorod team: the guests scored twice more and won, ruining the 54th birthday of the “sailors” coach.

Last season, Sibir’s home matches against Avtomobilist did not work out at all: 1:6 and 0:4. Today Vadim Epanchintsev’s team started quite strongly, but the momentum did not last long. In the second half, Avtomobilist surprised the hosts with four goals, and the first violin for the Urals was played by Maxim Denezhkin and Vladimir Kuznetsov, who on paper are not stars of Avto. In the end, the Yekaterinburg team created problems with the eliminations, twice ending up with only three: this ruined the dry match, but did not prevent them from winning. Avtomobilist perfectly closed the series away from home as the leader of the conference.
