The future of football. The best young RPL players of the last 5 rounds

There are 34 people on the list. We select them according to our traditional criteria.

This is not the first season in which the “Championship” determines the best young footballer in the RPL. The main thing in the award is the vote of the coaches and captains of all RPL teams. However, it is not only the final numbers that are important, but also the progress during the season.

10 rounds of the RPL have already been played. After the top five, we gave Championship users the opportunity to choose the best young player. Now it’s time to determine who is the strongest in the period between the sixth and the tenth round. Let us remember that we consider all footballers who were 21 years old or younger at the beginning of the championship as young. The origin does not matter here. We selected all RPL football players who met this criterion, leaving only those who spent at least one hour on the field in total. It seems wrong to us to evaluate a person in less time: there is very little information. But we forget about these players: if they later enter the season more actively, they will end up in our rating. The material is published in a rating format so that you, our readers, can familiarize yourself with the statistics of young players and choose the best one for yourself.

The future of football. The best young players of the RPL for 5 rounds.

Now, about statistics. We take it from open data from Opta, Rustat and Understat; thanks to our colleagues for the numbers. For everyone in the ranking, we provide important general indicators: minutes on the field, goals, assists. And then we get into more advanced statistics for players of specific positions. You can find it below. We only take into account performances in the RPL, not including the Russian Cup.

The percentage of fights won, interceptions, tackles, hits and passes on average per game is indicated.

There are quite a few footballers in the ranking and their positions in it depend on you.

During the voting, the players will be distributed to their places. The rating depends entirely on the votes of the “Championship” readers and is formed online.

If you think an option should be lower, press the down arrow “↓”. If you want to move up an option in the list, press the up arrow “↑”.

Important: The “Ranking” functionality only works in the normal version of the “Championship”. If you accessed this material through the search page, you will only see the generated list without voting buttons.
