Butcher vs all the supers in the world
If we evaluate the sixth series as a stand-alone work, it doesn’t quite live up to the previous ones. It doesn’t have the cruelty with which Homelander dealt with the past, nor the drama associated with Hughie and his father. You can skip most of it and not miss anything – all the important points fit into a couple of sentences. But these offerings are so powerful that you won’t regret watching them.
Most of the events take place in a mansion where the most important people in the country have gathered. There are both authoritative congressmen and Homelander and his entourage. Nothing dynamic happens, but the dialogues are unexpectedly catchy. Newman and Sister Sage briefly whisper about the past, and this leads to a climactic ending that threatens the United States with a major war. The smartest woman in the world simply eats candy and this makes her laugh out loud. In The Boys, intimate and peaceful scenes have never been so interesting.

However, the main moment of the whole episode is dedicated to Butcher. He has been tormented by moral dilemmas all season, but now they have been taken to a new level. It is not only about the increased responsibility of the decisions, but also about the circumstances in which Butcher makes them. You can’t talk about the situation without spoilers, so believe that the ending will surprise you.
The rest of the events are not worth much attention. The conflict between Hughie and Technoknight is fun with references to Batman, but in itself it seems too vile. Kimiko’s suffering leads nowhere and the situation with MM does not cause any surprise. I feel that these arcs should have been shortened and the series would have been more interesting.

What exactly happens in episode six?
Thanks to the A-Train, the heroes learn about an important meeting at Technoknight’s mansion: Homelander, Victoria Newman, and several politicians will be there. The reason is unclear, but super-loser Tkach was also invited there. MM has known him for a long time, so in exchange for a dose, he takes the super suit.
Huey pretends to be Weaver, sneaks into the mansion and plants bugs all over it. The technological gentleman greets the guest with suspicious joy and takes him on a tour that ends in a sadomasochistic dungeon. To entertain himself in this place, Tkach has been invited. Huey tries to play along with the madman, but is discovered and tortured.

The boys realize their friend is in trouble and go to help. Along the way, Starlight knocks out Fireworks and MM shoots Sister Sage in the head. Due to the stress, MM suffers a heart attack and is taken to the hospital on A-Train. The remaining heroes rescue Huey and clarify the Tech Knight’s role. He owns many prisons and Homelander wants to use them to imprison all the undesirables.
At this point, the leader of the Seven plans to convince politicians of the need for a coup. At first, Newman doesn’t even want to communicate with the vile congressmen, but Sister Sage tells him a few stories from her childhood. Her moral is that you don’t need to listen to bigwigs: “You stroke their balls with one hand and cut their throats with the other.”
Sister Sage was supposed to give a speech, but being shot in the head temporarily left her mute. Homelander tries to replace her, but he can’t answer many questions. Who will crush the army? What about the ships? What if all the officials resign? Then Victoria Newman finally agrees to participate in the conspiracy and, after a spectacular speech, wins the support of politicians. According to her, the country does not need democracy, because most people are stupid. Therefore, she will come to power and dictate laws, consulting only with important people.

Butcher demands that scientist Samir recreate the serum, but despite the torture, he refuses. Joe is always behind Butcher, ordering him to go even further, to inflict even more pain. In addition, his dead wife is before his eyes: she pushes him to do good deeds.
It soon becomes clear why Samir is not ready for the experiments. It turns out that in order to kill Homelander, the virus needs to be strengthened. It will then spread through the air and destroy all the supers, including Ryan.
Joe likes the idea, but his imaginary wife is horrified. They express their views to Butcher, and then Joe suddenly asks the dead girl to shut up. It becomes clear that all this time Joe was imaginary too. His wife and his old friend personify Butcher’s dual nature: one half of him yearns for peace, the other for total destruction. You just need to choose one thing.
The real Joe died a long time ago.

The next day, Firecracker tells Homelander that Starlight has sneaked into the mansion and Tech Knight is dead. Super realizes that there is still a spy in the Seven. At first his suspicions fall on Fireworks, but the girl immediately proves her devotion to him. For Homelander’s sake, she took special medicine and now milk appeared in her breasts. The leader of the Seven feels love and drinks milk willingly.
