However, this type of rowing did not gain much popularity, so the next tournament went under the radar, but an amusing circumstance intervened: in one of the 2-kilometer swims, the Ukrainian crew literally began to sink after colliding with a large wave. from the rivals ship.
There were only a couple of hundred meters left before the finish line. The most interesting thing is that “dragons” are considered more stable varieties of boats in comparison with other rowing disciplines, but in this case, even this did not help. It was very funny to see how the Ukrainians are still trying to keep rowing, even though the boat had already sunk. Laughter with laughter, but in the end the team did not occupy the last place, but finished in sixth position with nine participants.
The discipline is not Olympic, therefore the attitude towards it is appropriate. However, such situations only add to the frivolity of what is happening.
