Last weekend, Milan played an absolutely mediocre match and lost to Inter 1:5. It was the fifth derby defeat for Stefano Pioli’s team in the calendar year. The match was initially special for Sandro Tonali. The midfielder played three seasons at Milan, but this summer he moved to Newcastle. Mick Maignan lay down on the grass and showed that he could not continue the match (it had been a long time since he had been injured, of course). We had to release Marco Sportiello, who made his debut for Milan. At the same time, Maignan spent his 80 minutes with confidence. Although objectively it was difficult for him to fail with zero shots on Newcastle’s goal.

As a result, the hosts allowed only one shot on goal, in the 95th minute. In general, the score in shots for the match is 26:6 (8:1 on goal). The spectators never saw any goals. It turned out to be a game in which Milan clearly looked the better side, but Newcastle held on.
