The fourth game of the NBA playoff final between Boston and Dallas was marred by an unexpected incident. Celtics fans gathered to watch the broadcast at TD Garden and witnessed internal conflict. A video has emerged showing a man punching an elderly man sitting next to him. Some spectators and a security guard rushed to separate the combatants. The elderly man, who had fallen on the concrete steps, soon got up and again got into an altercation with another fan.
The participants in the fight were wearing green t-shirts, clearly coming to support their team and celebrate a possible 18th championship, a record in league history. It is unclear if those fans were ejected from the arena or if the matter was referred to police for further investigation.

The incident once again raises questions about the behavior of fans at sporting events. Aggression and violence have no place either on stage or off stage. Organizers and security services must do everything possible to prevent such incidents in the future. After all, sport is about bringing people together and not becoming a cause of conflict.
Alcohol, which often sparks fights in the stands, may have played a key role. Alcohol reduces self-control and increases aggressive behavior. Many stadiums have already introduced restrictions on the sale of alcohol: they stop selling it after a certain time or limit the number of drinks per person. It is much more pleasant to maintain an atmosphere of celebration and encouragement for the team without excessive alcohol consumption to avoid such unpleasant situations.
Dallas defeated Boston in the fourth game with a score of 122:84, reducing the series deficit to 3-1.
