What did Red Bull’s competitors come up with to ruin their home race? Austrian GP – LIVE
Dmitry Zakharchenko June 30, 2024, 09:15 Moscow time
Verstappen had no equal on Saturday. And Sunday? The start of the F1 race is at 16:00 Moscow time.
McLaren gave Max Verstappen a tough fight in qualifying and the bunch sprint at Saturday’s Austrian Grand Prix, but the Dutchman fought back in the main qualifying round to take pole in dominant style. And now the big question: will anyone be able to compete with the reigning world champion in Sunday’s race? If not, you’ll have to focus on an interesting fight for the podium – the pace of McLaren, Mercedes and Ferrari is very similar, so you can expect overtaking and an interesting tactical battle.

The big day of motor sport in Spielberg begins with the Formula 3 race.
Luke Browning, the closest pursuer of overall leader Leonardo Fornaroli, will start from pole position. The front row will be shared with the Briton by Red Bull protégé Arvid Lindblad.
The second row of the grid is shared by Tim Tramnitz and Gabriele Mini, who is third in the championship and, like Browning, could theoretically lead it today.
Meanwhile, the current championship leader, Leonardo Fornaroli, will start only in 23rd place.
Russian Nikita Bedrin will start the race from 14th place.
