The Euro Cup is approaching with the most important matches. The quarter-finals are already upon us. How fast time flies! The eight strongest teams made it to the quarter-finals: Spain, Germany, France, Portugal, England, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Turkey. But not all players will help their teams in the next match. Who will miss the quarter-finals due to disqualification? Let’s see.

Portugal – France
While the Portuguese have no problem with disqualifications, France has one player out. Midfielder Adrien Rabiot received a yellow card in the round of 16 match against Belgium. It was the second at Euro 2024: he had previously been booked in the third matchday of the group stage against Poland. Rabiot will therefore miss the match against Portugal.

Many players risk missing the semi-finals due to the excessive number of bookings. Portugal have Francisco Conceição, João Pahlinha, Pedro Neto, Ruben Neves, João Cancelo and even Cristiano Ronaldo. France have Ousmane Dembélé, Kylian Mbappé, Antoine Griezmann and Aurélien Tchouameni.

England – Switzerland

But the British will have one important player who will miss the match. Defender Mark Guehi received a yellow card in the third minute of the match against Slovakia. She became the second 23-year-old player in the tournament. Previously, Gekhi was booked in the third round of the group stage match against Slovenia. All in all, Mark will have to miss the quarter-finals.
