Former two-weight world champion and now Hall of Famer, American Bernard Hopkins, has spoken about the upcoming title fight.
“This fight will go in seven rounds. You know what’s worse for Berlanga? He provoked Canelo to his destruction. When you keep your mouth shut, a fighter like Alvarez doesn’t hit you as hard. It leaves you with the opportunity to get another big fight in the future, but Berlanga blew it. Canelo will not be merciful,” Boxing News 24 quotes Hopkins as saying.
The head of the Russian national boxing team’s coaching council, Eduard Kravtsov, also spoke about the upcoming fight.
“There are always chances, especially at this weight. But I don’t think it will be a competitive fight in terms of the level and class of the boxers. There may be some close rounds, but overall in the fight Saul Alvarez is the favorite by a wide margin,” Kravtsov said in a conversation with “Championship” correspondent Yahya Hasanov.
