Dynamo Moscow and Traktor claimed their first wins of the season.

Five matches were held in the KHL regular season on September 6. Let’s briefly summarize all the games.

Neftekhimik started the match in Omsk strongly: Roman Abrosimov greeted his former team and also distinguished himself in the minority. But this only angered Avangard: the hosts only increased the pace and pressed for most of the match, often not allowing the opponent to even raise their heads. This paid off at the beginning of the second half, when Mikhail Gulyaev and Linden Wei scored a double. At the beginning of the last period, Alexey Solovyov scored the third goal against Philip Dolganov, but then Bulat Shafigullin revived the intrigue, once again reducing the gap to a minimum. In the end, the guests wanted to make one last attack, but they let it into an empty net. Avangard started the season with two wins.

Vadim Epanchintsev’s team is not feeling well at the start of the season. So much so that Sergei Shirokov ripped his team’s performance to shreds in an interview during the break. “We are playing God knows what, you can’t even call it summer hockey, if we continue like this, they will score 10 against us,” said the forward, who played for Avtomobilist last season.

Anatoly Golyshev opened the scoring in the first minute of the match and soon Alexey Byvaltsev increased the lead of the hosts. In the second half, “Sibir” increased its shooting activity, but Vladimir Galkina was unable to shoot, but conceded two more times.

Both teams lost their first games of the season and were eager to redeem themselves in front of the fans. The match started with a puck from youngster Ruslan Ospanov, who grabbed the rebound, surprising Zach Fucale, but in the second half, Traktor changed the course of the match, scoring three goals. The main character was Mikhail Kotlyarevsky: he scored a double and then made a hat-trick, but it crashed into the post. Moreover, at the moment with his first puck, he robbed one of Barys’ star newcomers, Damir Zhafyarov, in the attacking zone. Neither Zhafyarov nor the team’s other big newcomer, Anton Burdasov, have scored a single point so far this season.

Dynamo Moscow, after losing to Kunlun in the first home match of the championship, bounced back in the second, beating Severstal. Only at the end of the first half Alexander Samonov was able to finish off – Anton Slepyshev scored his first goal for the blue-and-whites. Shortly after the break Artyom Ilyenko converted the majority, increasing the lead. At the half of the match Kirill Pilipenko pulled one back, hitting Maxim Motorygin with a final shot, but in the third period Brennan Menell set the final score, with a precise shot, making the rather controversial removal of Korostelev on Nikita Gusev.

The most productive match of the day took place in Mytishchi. The scoring show began with Tomas Jurcho, who converted the penalty shootout in the 11th minute of the match. Moreover, Evgeniy Kuznetsov’s performance began in the style of a slow shootout, but ended it in his own way – with a sharp click. “Kunlun” at some moments led first 3:1, then 4:2, but Yegor Petukhov’s heroic efforts turned into a hat-trick and sent the game to overtime. Nail Yakupov shined again there, having never before started a season in the KHL with three goals in two games. In the current championship, after scoring one goal against Dynamo today, he scored a double, including the winning goal in overtime.
