On September 13, the immersive drama Crime and Punishment, based on the work of the same name by FM Dostoevsky, will premiere in Moscow. The action of the Plus Studio production will take place in the heart of Moscow, in the Dashkov 5 mansion.
The famous story moves in time, but the heroes also search for impossible answers to cursed questions: about the nature of evil and the mystery of love, the dispute between a proud man and God, sin and resurrection. In addition, the stories intersect with the series of the same name, which will premiere on Kinopoisk in 2024, but the staging of the scenes is decided differently: the show actively uses body language and choreography, as well as unique costumes, scenery and special effects.
“The audience is involved in what is happening, thus gaining the experience of a collective experience in theatres, exhibitions and other artistic venues, which are attended by several hundred thousand people a year. Many immersive productions appear regularly in Moscow. This format, which has not lost its relevance, combines technology and sensory perception of reality, and attracts more and more attention from viewers,” said Olga Filipuk, Content Director of Plus and Fantech by Yandex.
Previously, Tegin created costumes for a new interpretation of Stravinsky’s “Le Noces.” In total, more than 100 costumes were made. We discuss them in more detail here.
