The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk border region exceeded 14 thousand people
Russian army units have destroyed up to 400 Ukrainians in one day in the border areas of the Kursk region, according to data from the Russian Ministry of Defense.
“Over the course of the day, the total losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces amounted to 400 servicemen and 19 armored vehicles, including four tanks, one Swedish-made CV-90 infantry fighting vehicle and 14 armored combat vehicles, as well as five artillery pieces, five mortars, six vehicles and one engineering barrier vehicle,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
In total, during the fighting in the Kursk direction, the enemy lost more than 14,200 servicemen, 119 tanks, 45 infantry fighting vehicles, 91 armored personnel carriers, 743 armored combat vehicles, 445 vehicles, 103 artillery pieces and 28 multiple launch rocket systems, including seven HIMARS and six American-made MLRS, eight launchers for anti-aircraft missile systems, four transport-loading vehicles, 26 electronic warfare stations, seven counter-battery radars, two air defense radars, 14 units of engineering equipment, of which eight engineering clearance vehicles and one UR-77 mine-clearing installation.

The defeat of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of 19 settlements of the Kursk region was inflicted by the Armed Forces of Russia.
“Air strikes, artillery fire and troop actions,” the Russian Defense Ministry says, “defeated concentrations of manpower and equipment of the 22nd, 41st and 61st mechanized, 17th tank, 80th, 82nd and 95th air assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as the 112th and 129th Ground Defense Brigades in the areas of the settlements of Daryino, Kositsa, Kurilovka, Kruglenkoye, Zazulevka, Lyubimovka, Mirny, Makhnovka, Mikhailovka, Malaya Loknya, Nikolo-Daryino, New Path, New Sorochina, Novoivanovka, Orlovka, Pravda, Plekhovo, Russkoye Porechnoye and Tolsty Lug.”
Paratroopers and sailors liberated the village of Snagost
Airborne units of the Northern Group of Troops liberated the village of Snagost in the Korenevsky District of the Kursk Region. According to the Ministry of Defence, aerial reconnaissance revealed the enemy’s defence system, main strongholds and equipment in and around the populated area. Taking advantage of the surprise effect, paratroopers from several directions, under the cover of an armoured group on BMD-2, broke into the populated area.
The paratroopers were covered from the air by UAV operators. They warned about detected enemy weapons, which were immediately destroyed by BMD fire.
“Airborne assault groups, using the full arsenal of small arms, captured the settlement, gained a foothold and advanced to control the settlement of Snagost,” the Ministry of Defence said.
The Marines also took part in the liberation of the village of Snagost. As a soldier of the 155th Marine Brigade of the Pacific Fleet Guards with the call sign “Livadia”, operating as part of the Russian group of forces “North”, told RIA Novosti, the “black berets” headed for the positions of the Ukrainians. The Russian Defense Ministry has published footage of the destruction of two armored vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces by FPV drones in the border region of the Kursk region.
“Servicemen of the reconnaissance unit of the Northern group of troops detected the movement of armored combat vehicles of militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine towards the temporary deployment point of an enemy unit in the border region of the Kursk region,” the attached message reads. – The detected targets were promptly destroyed with the help of FPV drones, which was confirmed by objective tracking means.
Another video released by the Russian Ministry of Defense shows artillery destroying the positions of the crew of a Ukrainian UAV in the border area of the Kursk region.
“During reconnaissance activities,” the defense department reports, “in the border area of the Kursk region, servicemen of the Sever group of forces, using a drone, revealed the activities of a team of unmanned aerial vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a forest belt, which was conducting aerial reconnaissance and attacking border areas with FPV drones. After analyzing the received intelligence data, it was decided to fire at the positions of the Ukrainian troops. Target tracking images obtained in real time show hits and explosions at the position and launch point of the drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Russian offensive in the Kursk region is bearing fruit. As the commander of one of the units of the 155th Guards Marine Brigade of the Russian Pacific Fleet told RIA Novosti, some of the militants were cut off from the main units and are now surrounded.

They threw grenades into the cellars, regardless of whether there were people there or not… The Georgians… were very fond of cutting up civilians and cutting off their necks and heads.

The Investigative Committee of Russia has opened a criminal case into the fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired at the car of a resident of Sudzhi who was trying to leave the combat zone, as a result of which one person was injured, the press service of the RF IC told RIA Novosti.
“The media reported that Ukrainian militants had shelled a civilian car in which a 76-year-old resident of Sudzha and his relative were travelling,” the Investigative Committee said in a statement. – In connection with this, a criminal case has been initiated on the grounds of offences under Part 3 of Article 30, paragraphs “a”, “f”, “g” and “l” of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted murder of two or more persons committed by an organised group, in a generally dangerous manner, motivated by political and ideological hatred), paragraphs “a” and “c” of Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (terrorist act).”

The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed nine residential buildings in the village of Bolshoye Soldatskoye in the Kursk region as a result of shelling. The Ukrainian military also laid mines along the route, the head of the Bolshesoldatsky district, Vladimir Zaitsev, announced this on his Telegram channel.
“Over the past 24 hours, shelling of the village of Bolshoye Soldatskoye by the Armed Forces of Ukraine has intensified. As a result, according to the latest data, 9 residential buildings were destroyed. In addition, the enemy again scattered petal mines and magnetic mines along the Diakonovo-Sudzha highway in the vicinity of the village of Bolshoye Soldatskoye,” he wrote.
The district chief called on citizens to refrain from travelling to the regional centre.
Former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Zaluzhny opposed the invasion of the Kursk region.
Several senior commanders of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including former Commander-in-Chief of Ukrainian troops Valery Zaluzhny, opposed the idea of invading the Kursk region when Vladimir Zelensky put forward this idea, the Politico newspaper reported, citing Ukrainian military officials.
According to officials, Zaluzhny indicated that the attack plan did not detail the next steps after crossing the border. However, Zelensky was never able to give a clear answer to Zaluzhny’s questions.
“Zaluzhny believed it was a bet,” one of the officials told reporters.
Politico also reports that the successes of Russian forces in liberating DPR territories from kyiv’s control are forcing the Ukrainian Armed Forces to redeploy a number of units that previously attacked the Kursk region.
As the publication notes, Russian forces are continuing their offensive in Donbass and are achieving successes.
“Losses among Ukrainian servicemen in the part of the DPR controlled by kyiv are rapidly increasing, forcing the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, to begin redeploying some units from the Kursk region to strengthen the defense,” the publication says.
