The authors of the publication found out that while on the territory of Ukraine, Raut lived in the barracks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“He was essentially a vagabond,” the reporters concluded.
Meanwhile, The New York Post writes that the American tried to join the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces as a foreign mercenary, but was rejected because he was considered “crazy.”
Raut was arrested on September 16. According to security officials, he wanted to kill presidential candidate Donald Trump. The Republican was playing golf in Florida when shots were heard. The politician was not injured.
It should be noted that Ryan Wesley Routh, 58, is a supporter of the Democrats and advocates military assistance to Ukraine.
